Xiaomi 11T Pro smartphone review: cool cameras and super-fast charging

Under the end of the year, Xiaomi released two new models of smartphones 11T and 11T Pro, which are made in the now popular concept of "almost a flagship, but cheaper." We took the older version for testing to assess the extent of this "almost".

The increase in the price of top-end smartphones can be attributed to anything – even the shortage of components in a pandemic. But such explanations will not add money to buyers’ wallets. Therefore, the relevance of "almost flagships" has grown significantly in recent years. With the debut of the 11T/11T Pro, Xiaomi has traditionally tried to offer “top for the money”, although in a particular case the slogan may sound like “almost top for not so much money”. We already had time to get acquainted with both models, but then we had only an hour to get impressions. Now we decided to test the novelty more thoroughly, and took the Pro version for a test.

How is Xiaomi 11T different from 11T Pro?

The "firmware" has almost everything the same: design, camera unit, screen. How is it different from the regular version?

Processor. The 11T has a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 and the Pro has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888.

Maximum memory. The Pro version has 12 GB of RAM.

Supports fast charging. Xiaomi 11T is bundled and supports 67W charging, 11T Pro can be charged with 120W.

Chinese, global and Russian Xiaomi smartphones: how do they differ?

Not to say that the 11T Pro looks stunning – it should be noted that smartphones are less and less likely to cause a wow effect. But you can definitely call him cute. This model is pleasant to hold in your hands: The screen itself is flat, without any "waterfalls" and "limitless effects" that prevent you from holding the gadget securely in your hands.

The back panel is made of glass, it plays beautifully with colors, while it does not collect fingerprints very actively. Around the perimeter is an aluminum frame. Moving away from plastic in favor of more premium materials has affected the weight, which has exceeded 200 g.
